Originally starting out as the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company in 1847, it wasn’t until 1902 when the company actually became the International Harvester Company. IH had many successful tractor models during their startup years but things began declining as the competition from other companies such as Ford and Deere lead to the ultimate downfall and selling of the agricultural division of International Harvester.
