Started in a 2 car garage by a man named Elmer Pond back in 1946. Pond created a four wheeled tractor only a year later geared toward garden use that was constructed without a hood for easy maintenance and repairs. As years passed the overall demand for affordable and easy to use tractors increased and Pond saw this and took advantage.
The company had become very successful by 1956 and began working on both small and large lawn and garden tractors while also producing riding lawn mowers. The company focused on standardization throughout the years making upgrades to models very easy.
